John Clifton Memorial Scholarship
The John Clifton Memorial Scholarship was established by the Baylor Chamber of Commerce to honor the life of John Clifton, a pledge of the Chamber who died in 1967. This scholarship provides tuition assistance to students of sophomore or junior classification at Baylor University, who are not seeking a career in ministry and are enrolled in the Hankamer School of Business. The four scholarships ($2,650 each) are awarded on the basis of merit and need. A recipient of the scholarship must:
- Be a sophomore or junior during the 2023 – 2024 academic year
- Have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above
- Not be a member of the Baylor Chamber of Commerce for the duration of the scholarship
- Be enrolled in the Hankamer School of Business
- Exhibit the qualities of scholarship, leadership, and Christian service
- Demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
An unofficial transcript, available from the Office of Academic Records and Registration in Clifton Robinson Tower or through Bearweb is required and should be uploaded to the application.
